Helping leaders, coaches and organisations thrive under pressure

Award-winning and developed by Will Clement, the CARE Coaching Framework helps leaders, coaches and organisations develop self-leadership, emotional clarity and sustainable performance under pressure.

Recognised by the University of York Enterprise Awards 2026 for Purpose Driving Profit, CARE combines compassion, reflection and action to create meaningful and lasting change.

Why CARE?

Most leadership development focuses on what people do.

CARE focuses on the relationship people have with themselves.

Because pressure, pace and responsibility are often shaped by the internal narrative running beneath the surface.

When leaders understand that relationship, they lead with greater clarity, make better decisions and create healthier cultures.

CARE helps people reconnect with:

  • Self-leadershop
  • Emotional intelligence
  • Sustainable performance
  • Reflection and action
  • Purpose and accountability

What is the CARE Coaching Framework™?

CARE is a practical framework that helps individuals, teams and organisations create sustainable change through four interconnected pillars.

Compassion

Understanding ourselves and others with empathy, curiosity and humanity.

Attune

Developing awareness of ourselves, our relationships and the environments we operate within.

Restore

Protecting the capacity, clarity and energy required for sustainable performance.

Enact

Turning insight into deliberate action and meaningful change.

Together, these four pillars create a continuous cycle of awareness, reflection, action and growth.

The story behind CARE

The CARE Coaching Framework was developed by leadership coach and facilitator Will Clement following more than a decade of work across health, care, education and other values-led sectors.

While many leadership and coaching models focus on goals and outcomes, CARE was created to address something equally important:

How people bring themselves into the work.

CARE recognises that sustainable leadership begins with self-awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to navigate pressure without losing sight of what matters most.

By helping people understand their internal narrative, CARE supports better decisions, stronger relationships and more sustainable performance.

How CARE works

CARE operates across two connected dimensions.

Internal reflection

Supporting leaders and coaches to understand:

  • How am I showing up right now?
  • What is influencing my thinking?
  • What do I need to perform sustainably?
  • How can I remain compassionate under pressure?

External application

Supporting leaders, teams and clients to:

  • Clarify what matters most
  • Build emotional intelligence
  • Balance compassion and accountability
  • Create meaningful and lasting change

Who CARE is for

CARE is particularly relevant for:

  • NHS and healthcare leaders
  • Public sector organisations
  • Education providers
  • Social impact organisations
  • Executive and leadership coaches
  • Teams seeking sustainable performance and healthy cultures

Whether you are an individual leader, a qualified coach or an organisation looking to develop your people, CARE provides a practical and human-centred approach to growth.

Why organisations choose CARE

Performance and wellbeing are not competing priorities.

The most effective organisations recognise that people perform at their best when they have clarity, connection and capacity.

CARE provides a practical, evidence-informed framework for developing leaders, coaches and cultures that can thrive under pressure.

It helps organisations create environments where compassion, accountability and performance can coexist.

Award-winning. Research-informed. Built for real life.

The CARE Coaching Framework was recognised at the University of York Enterprise Awards 2026 for Purpose Driving Profit.

CARE is also being explored through an ethnographic research partnership with Liverpool John Moores University, examining how the framework supports leaders in practice within real-world organisational settings.

This commitment to research and continuous development ensures CARE remains both academically informed and grounded in lived experience.
